Blood Diamonds

I will talk about movie that we saw it in last Thursday. The movie was interesting because it talks about real stories. First the movie was concentrated on man who lost his family and after that he worked as a diamond searcher for RUF. Then when he was working he found a big diamond and he kept it in safe place. After that he found a man who know where are his family but to take him to his family he must give the man that big diamond. He agreed then the man took him to his family but they faced a lot of problems. I don’t know what happen after that because we didn’t saw the end. I think this movie shows us what happen when we buy diamonds before we chick if it is free conflict diamonds or not. Also it shows what the children and poor people face in that country they suffer and they need the help.

Rapid Development in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi was a simple city before they discovery of oil but now it becomes one of the most famous cities in the world. These days there are a lot of buildings, cars and factories. This essay will examine the causes of the rapid development in Abu Dhabi and look at some of the effects.

In the past Abu Dhabi didn’t have a strong economy but after they discovered oil every thing changed. The number of cars and buildings after that discovery increased rapidly and the economy became stronger. Also the number of factories increased because if the country has the main part which is oil it can create or make many different materials and import them to different countries. On the other hand no benefit from a strong economy if the country doesn’t have a good leader. In Abu Dhabi there was Al Sheikh Zayed who did a lot of thing for his country and his city specially. He used the money which got it from oil outcome to develop his country by building many schools, hospitals, stations and many other buildings.

There are several effects for rapid development of Abu Dhabi. First point that is sand changed to green ground because in these days the government looks at plants and they try to increase them in Abu Dhabi city. Also the numbers of jobs increase every day because of that development. This development changes the climate so we feel these days the weather is not like before for example in these days the cold continued for seven months. The Infrastructure of Abu Dhabi city becomes better than 30 years ago.

On the other hand this development has many negative consequences for the city. The first point that when the numbers of cars and factories increasing at the same time the amount of emissions increase. Also this development day after day removes our traditions and in the same time maybe our culture. There is an important issue which is this development and the increasing of cars numbers due to traffic congestion in the roads.

Any development in the world has two faces one is positive and the other is negative. In my opinion we can make any development be positive 100% by facing the negatives and try to fix or solve them. If Abu Dhabi keep this work it will be one of the most important cities in the world.

Conflict Diamonds

First thing, conflict diamonds are some times called blood diamonds because many people and children are died from it. As a customer you can help many people and also many children by buy conflict-free diamonds.

Most conflict diamonds come from Africa and especially from Angola, Congo, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Those countries have many wars between each other for diamonds.

In 2003 there is international certification called the Kimberley process which try to stop the conflict diamonds. They put many suggestions to avoid wars and now the conflict diamonds is less than before but this not mean is finished!!

NOW how we can stop conflict diamonds and help those people

First, you must be sure about the source of these diamonds and if they got it from these countries (Angola, Congo, Liberia, and Sierra Leone) don’t buy it. You should check from the shops which sell these diamonds and ask the Jeweler from where it comes these daimonds?. The last thing you should do it is read about conflict diamonds and try to be sure about what you buy of diamonds and think about those people and children. They suffer of conflict diamonds.

In my opinion, I think stop conflict diamonds is very difficult because in each country in the world there are good people, bad people and those bad people will try to get money from any thing and they don’t care about the children and the poor people.

The world Diamonds Trade

The percentage of the worlds rough diamonds are cut and polished in India is 90%. The most rough diamonds come from Antwerp city and Tell Aviv city. The Indian workers get 40 cents for each cut and polished gem. Dubai now is developing in this course and it tries to be the center of diamonds.
